Edward Rhoads Obituary

Edward R. Rhoads, 64, passed away on October 27, 2025. He was born on April 8, 1961, in Chillicothe, Ohio, and later made his home in Springfield, Ohio.
Edward proudly served in The United States Army, where he earned the rank of Sergeant as a member of the 758th Maintenance Division. He served honorably during Operation Desert Storm and received an honorable discharge following his dedicated service to his county.
Following his military service Edward devoted more than 25 years to Robbins & Myers, Inc. where he was admired for his hard work, reliability, and steady presence.
Known to many simply as "Hayseed", Edward was deeply respected for his humor, generosity, and loyalty. He found freedom and peace on the open road when riding his Victory motorcycle, a passion that brought him countless miles of joy and camaraderie.
Edward is survived by his children, Bradley E. (Beth) Rhoads, Justin S. (Katrina) Rhoads, Daniel Evans III, and Gabrielle K. Evans; his brother, Rev. Thomas E. (Vicky) Rhoads, and his cherished grandchildren, Emma, Makayla, Mary, Zoe, Braden, Bentley, Kayley, Hannah, and Alex. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, friends, and family who will forever cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Wayne and Erma Jean Rhoads.
A graveside inurnment service will take place at Twin Township Cemetery in Bourneville, Ohio on Saturday, November 15th at 11:00 a.m. A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
His legacy of service, loyalty, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
