Edward Robisky Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by James A. O'Connor Funeral Home - Huntley on Nov. 28, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Edward "Fast Eddie" Jerome Robisky, 72, of Huntley, Illinois, passed away on November 26, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on April 8, 1953, in Pontiac, Illinois, to Carl and Carmelita Robisky, Ed was raised on the family farm in Cullom, where he learned early the values of hard work, humility, and loyalty-values he carried throughout his entire life. He graduated from Tri-Point High School and married the love of his life, Kathleen Marie Malone, on February 28, 1976. Together they built a strong and devoted family, raising three sons: Matthew, Mark, and Daniel.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Carmelita Robisky, his brother John Robisky, and his brother-in-law Steven Malone.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Kathleen Robisky, and their children: Matthew (Jillian) Robisky, Mark (Danielle) Robisky, and Daniel (Katy) Robisky. He was a proud and devoted Papa to his grandchildren: Kailyn, Kinley, Kendall, and Ryder, Eloise, and Hunter. Ed is also survived by his mother- and father-in-law, Leon and Shirley Malone, Mary (Gary) Austin, Steve (Michele) Robisky along with many extended family members and friends who cherished him.

Known affectionately by many names-Fast Eddie, Ed, Pops, and Papa-he was a man who could make everyone feel welcome. Ed worked as a farmer, a trucker with Becker Trucking alongside his cousin and best friend, Danny Robisky, and later as a shop foreman for several transportation companies. Even after retiring, he continued to lend a hand and share his mechanical know-how while working part-time at Kunes RV.

Ed found joy in the outdoors-tending to his yard, raising beef cattle, and embracing the peacefulness of country life. Above all, nothing brought him greater happiness than time spent with his grandchildren, who will forever hold tight to their memories of their Papa.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4th from 3 – 7 PM at O'Connor Funeral Home, 11603 E. Main St. in Huntley, with a prayer service at 7 PM.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a good man whose steady presence, generous heart, and quiet strength will be deeply missed.
