Edward Robison Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jeane's Funeral Service - Leesville on Apr. 11, 2025.
Edward Clark Robison was born September 1, 1948, in San Antonio, Texas and passed away January 28, 2025, in DeRidder, Louisiana at the age of 76. After earning his Masters Degree as a geologist, he worked for 17 years in the oil field then became a teacher. He was an excellent educator and taught in schools in both Texas and Louisiana before retiring from the Caddo Parish School System. His passion for geology and science inspired his students and enriched their education. One fun memory from his teaching career was when he was in a movie filmed at one of his high schools in Shreveport. The film crew loved his colorful lab coat, so they asked him to be part of a scene in the movie. Edward was an intelligent, humble man who was a fan of Einstein. His collection of Einstein posters and bobbleheads were displayed throughout his office. At one time he enjoyed researching his family ancestry. He had a quiet nature and Christian roots. Edward became a practicing Catholic and faithfully had communion every week. Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Edward Robison and June Evelyn Watt Robison and fiancée, Nancy Duke. Those left to cherish his memory are his sister, Connie June Robison of Leesville, Louisiana and cousins, Marijo Brown and Robert Watt (Galen) all of Shreveport, Louisiana. Edward's family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Westwood Manor Nursing Home in DeRidder, Dr. Granger, and Bri West for the excellent care they gave to him. Also, thank you to Michelle for faithfully coming to the nursing home to give him communion and to Bill Endris and Adam Lynn for coming to Edward's home to give him communion.
