Edward I. Rosa, 79 of Hudson Falls, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday evening, October 29, 2025.

Born on September 27, 1946, in Glens Falls, he was a life-long area resident and son of the late Ira E. and Beatrice E. (Keech) Rosa, Sr.

Ed worked for many, many years at Adirondack Trailways driving bus, where he received the Million Miles Safe Driving achievement, and upon his retirement, he drove a school bus for the Glens Falls City School district. In his younger years, Ed worked at the Strand Theater as an usher. He was one of the last ushers to work there before they closed in the late 1960's and he is being honored by the Strand with a plaque to commemorate his time there.

On July 1, 1967, Ed married Cheryl Washburn in South Glens Falls. They have enjoyed 58 years of marriage together.

Ed loved music and had a massive record collection and also has his own jukebox. More than anything, he loved to spend time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, Mary Beth Rosa.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Cheryl Rosa of Hudson Falls; his son, Christopher Rosa (Barbara) of Fort Edward; his daughter, Melissa Rogers of Malta; his siblings, Loretta Flewelling, Ira Rosa, Jr., Alan Rosa, and Nellie Bolton; six grandchildren, Frank, Dustin, Stephanie, Zackary, Kaleigh, and Hannah; two great-grandchildren, Isabella and Taylor; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at the Carleton Funeral Home, 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls. A Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Southside Cemetery in South Glens Falls.
