Edward was born on June 21, 1936 in Breckenridge, Texas to Joseph Francis Schwind Jr. and Mary Rose Klug. He grew up in Breckenridge, Texas and attended Texas Tech University where he pursued his passion for mechanical engineering.
Throughout his life, Edward touched the lives of countless people with his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love. Together, they raised 5 children: Ruth Ann, Edward, Jr. (Charlie), Sarah, Julia, and Stephen. His dedication to his family was immeasurable, and he took great pride in being a loving husband, father, and later, a cherished grandfather.
Professionally, Edward had a successful career as a mechanical engineer. He was highly regarded for his talents and creations of complex designs for aviation and the oil and gas industry. We remember him for his integrity, leadership, and willingness to help others.
In his free time, Edward enjoyed vacationing, golfing, fishing, also he loved sharing these activities with his family and friends. He was always the first to offer a helping hand and took care of those near to his heart.

I received notice last week that my fellow Little League baseball coach was being called HOME. It was a joy and a blessing to know Eddie Schwind and the entire Schwind family. Eddie was a wonderful person to call a friend, a fine example of how a Christian man should conduct himself as a representative to his fellow man, and be the husband and father God Almighty put him on this earth to be. I know everyone will truly miss him, but it was time for God to have another Engineer on his Heavenly staff.
Rest in peace you good and faithful servant.
