Edward "Cool Pop" Sparks Sr.

Reading this now makes it just as fresh as 2005. This loving family will never be forgotten by us but especially and more importantly, our heavenly Father Jehovah and his Son Jesus Christ will keep them in his memory.

Please allow their love as well as ours give you peace and comfort until they reverse our pain.

This was a dark time in history that will never be forgotten. Those images are seared into our minds. Our hearts are forever changed due to these accounts. We sincerely, with all of the vital force we can muster, hope all the families are recovering, and remember the promises. There will be a resurrection. And there your recovery will be complete.

Losing a loved one is always hard. Especially when it is unexpected. God is definitely near and close to those who are crushed and brokenhearted. God will grant you peace an contentment if you pray for it.
Please know that you and your family are kn my prayers and thoughts

god needed you more.your work on this earth was done. now you are in a much better place.you will be missed by those who love you,but each day their grief will lessen as they realize memories of you will never die.

I received the name Marjorie Edwards at the Dome a year after the storm. The memory of your family inspires my work on climate change. I hope that your family and community are healing and that you can now cherish the memories without pain.

My deepest sympathy I sends to the entire Sparks family. I'm just like family as my family was rescued in the 2000 block of Lizardi St., the Houston Family. I myself moved to Indiana in 2004. To conclude, be strong in Christ because we will miss our family and love ones but God needed more flowers to grace his Heavenly Garden! Be informed, after the storm there's always the calm...

God bless Mr. Sparks and his wife, child and aunt. A tragic loss that touches so many, but those lovely souls will bless everyone they loved from heaven where they will be watching and praying for everyone at Jesus' side. God bless all of their family and friends.

Mr.Sparks was A long time friend of my family.I was devasted when i saw his picture on-line.My prayers are with the survivor's of the Sparks family.He will truly be missed.It was always a pleasant adventure to see his smiling face on the "RTA" bus line.

To the Sparks family you are in my prays. I worked will Mr.Spark and did know that he was the co-worker that we had lose in Katrina. I remember a tall man always laugthing with me because I was new and had to work on the weekends but he said it got better with time serviced. So remember that his time on this world was serviced and God call him to his true home.

I'm sorry for your lost. I didn't know the family but I know Mr. Sparks face from driving the bus. My daughter attended Thurgood Marshall with Edward jr. and she will miss him dearly. May God bless the Sparks Family.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

To Eddie's family and loved ones. I knew Eddie well, as I worked with him at RTA, and definitely considered him a friend. I'll really miss him.
