Edward G. Stackpole, 81, of Saco, passed away with his family by his side on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at home.
He was born in Biddeford on July 22, 1942, a son of Alexander and Sarah (Noble) Stackpole. He graduated from Thornton Academy, class of 1959.
Edward married his wife Claudette Compagna on February 5, 1966.
Earlier he was employed by Lund Manufacturing for 26 years. Later he worked for Lanco Assembly Systems in Westbrook for 28 years, retiring in 2011.
Edward was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed shooting sports and was a Corvette enthusiast.
He is survived by his wife Claudette Stackpole, son Scott Stackpole and wife Patricia Drake one granddaughter Serena, three great grandchildren Andrew, Rebecca and Ingrid and nieces and nephews.
