Edward Leonard Sundstrom

Edward "Ed" Leonard Sundstrom, age 71, of Savage, MN, passed away on February 22, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on February 23, 1954, at Swedish Hospital in Minneapolis, Ed graduated from Minneapolis South High School. He dedicated over 40 years of his career to ADC Telecommunications. Following his tenure there, Ed returned to school at Hennepin Technical College to earn a diploma as a Marine, Motorsport & Outdoor Power Equipment Technician, later working at Minnesota Equipment in Shakopee.

Ed was a man who found purpose in restoration; he possessed the rare ability to fix almost anything and was happiest when helping others with his skills. He was an active member of the Minnesota Triumphs Sports Car Club and served as a volunteer at the Pavek Museum of Broadcasting.

Above all, Ed's greatest joy was his family. He was married to his wife, Lori, for nearly 50 years. As a devoted father, he was deeply involved in his children's lives. He was a constant fixture at his grandchildren's events, always their loudest cheerleader and most devoted supporter.

He is survived by his wife, Lori Sundstrom; his children, Brad (Molly) Sundstrom and April (Jared) Carlisle; his grandchildren, Grace, Bree, Lucas, Bella, and Cohen; and his sister, Debbie Farness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Glee Sundstrom, and his brother, Roger Sundstrom.
