Died: September 29, 2022 in Peru, IL
Edward P. Thompson, 63, of Peru, passed away, Thursday, September 29, 2022, at St. Margaret's Hospital, Peru.
A prayer service will be held at 9:30 AM Monday, October 3, 2022, at the Mueller Funeral Home, Peru followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Church, Peru with Rev. J.A. Small officiating. Burial will follow in Peru City Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00-6:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
Edward was born April 2, 1959, in Mendota to Edward G. and Mary Catherine (Lucas) Thompson. He was a graduate of LaSalle-Peru High School. He was an avid Chicago sports fan including the Cubs, Bears and Bulls.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Ann Thompson of Peru.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sherry Agnes Thompson.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.

Ed was like an uncle to me and I love him like Family he meant the world to me and I am so upset that he passed away I wish I could have seen him one last time so I could tell him that I loved him and that I thought of him like Family but it was getting so cold out that I couldn't see him but I'm glad I knew him for along period of time.
