Edward Thomas Turbert

Edward T. Turbert died in Arvada, Colorado on Monday, March 16th, 2026, at age 85.

Ed was born in 1940 in New Haven, Connecticut to Edward Turbert and Marguerite Fitzgerald Turbert. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Providence College in 1961 and worked for Pitney Bowes for 27 years before taking early retirement. He owned a flooring store until finally retiring in 2014 and moving to Colorado to be near his grandchildren.

Ed was a caring, generous, warm, and witty person. Ed loved playing basketball and hockey as a young man, and coached and refereed youth hockey. He was an avid golfer. He enjoyed traveling with his family and trips to Europe with his wife, Janet, and their friends. His favorite times were spent with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Janet, of Arvada, Colorado; his son Daniel and his wife Karen of Denver, Colorado; his son David and his wife Amy of Superior, Colorado; and his grandchildren Finn, Zach, Miranda, and Katie. Edward was preceded in death by his sister, Jean.

Services will be held at 11:00 on Saturday, April 4th at Horan and McConaty, 7577 W 80th Ave, Arvada, CO 80003.
