Edward (Eddie) Moraga, 88, born on October 3, 1937, passed away surrounded by those who loved him on December 27th, 2025. Throughout his life, Edward was known for his steady presence, his quiet strength, and the friendship he brought to everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Edward’s life was marked by his work as a Machinist, hunting, fishing, tending to his garden and spending time with his family. He approached each day with kindness, humor, and dedication to helping those around him, and he leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and generosity that will continue to inspire those who knew him.
He is survived by his son, Steven Moraga (wife Gina); daughter, Angela Moraga; grandchildren, Elijah, Makayla and Michael Moraga; sister, Perla Moraga; niece, Michelle Montoya (husband Louie Montoya) and several other nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and God children who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him. Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene Moraga; father, Ramon Moraga; mother, Josephine Moraga; brothers, Blas, Pablo, Charlie, and Jerry Moraga; and nephew, Randy Moraga.
Services and final viewing will be held on 01/07/2025 at 2105 Barcelona Rd Albuquerque, NM 87105, Internment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Elijah Moraga, Michael Moraga, Robert Moraga, Johnny Moraga, Louis Montoya and Thomas Montano. Eddie will be deeply missed, and his memory will remain a blessing to all who knew him.
