Edwin Ashton Obituary
Edwin Peter Ashton, known to all as "Pete", of Rosemont, NJ, died on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at his home. He is survived by his wife Barbara White Ashton, his daughter and son-in-law Stephanie Ashton and Alfonso Smullen and their daughter Emerie; his son Edwin P. Ashton; and his sister and her husband Margaret and John Dick and several nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Edwin P. Ashton and Anne Bednar Ashton and the brother of the late Katheryn Strelecky.
The mass of Christian burial will be offered on Monday, August 14, at 10:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 44 Bridge Street, Lambertville, NJ. Interment will follow at Rosemont Cemetery, Rosemont, NJ.
There will be calling hours on Sunday, August 13, from 3 to 6 pm at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York Street, Lambertville, NJ. There will also be calling hours on Monday morning at the church from 9:30 am until the start of mass.
Memorial donations may be made to the Hunterdon Hospice, 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, NJ 08822.

I am saddened to learn that Pete has passed away. I have many fond memories of Pete. He was a kindhearted and gentle man. Pete will always be remembered.
