Edwin Gaddis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Clayton Funeral Home and Crematory - Pearland on Mar. 18, 2026.
Glenn Gaddis, 58, of Pearland, Texas, passed away March 10th, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and selfless devotion to everyone fortunate enough to know him.

An electrician by trade, Glenn spent the better part of his life working tirelessly to provide for his family, not just in material ways, but in every way that mattered. He gave his sons his time, his wisdom, his encouragement, and an unwavering belief in their potential. He never missed a chance to tell anyone who would listen just how proud he was of Justyn, Taylor, and Shane, and that pride was one of the great joys of his life.

Glenn had a gift for making people feel at home. He welcomed his sons' friends as his own, offered a helping hand to anyone who needed one, and had a way of making heavy circumstances seem lighter. He never took life too seriously, and he believed wholeheartedly that no matter how old you get, you never have to lose your childlike spirit. One of his favorite sayings, "the only rule is No Rules!" said everything about the way he lived. He loved tinkering on things, cheering on his Houston sports teams, and above all else, playing with his grandchildren and watching his family grow.

Glenn is survived by his beloved wife and high school sweetheart, Angela; his sons Justyn, Taylor, and Shane; his daughters-in-law Sarabeth, Anais, and Kaitlyn; his grandchildren James, Jonathan, Jackson, Penelope, Frances Jo, and Atticus; his sisters-in-law Sheila and Rose; his brother Gary; close family friend Stephen; his nieces Stephanie, Abigail, and Mallory; his nephew Jacob; and his grandnieces Autumn and Maya. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Gayle; his parents-in-law, James and Betty Jo; and his brother Guy. He is also survived by his lifelong best friend Jeff, who Glenn affectionately referred to as "old faithful," among many other more playful names.

Glenn Gaddis was loyal, compassionate, and genuinely selfless, a man who gave more than he ever asked for in return. A quote from one of his favorite movies, "It's a Wonderful Life," that he lived by and instilled in his children, says it best: "Remember, no man is a failure who has friends." He leaves behind not just a family who adored him, but a community of people whose lives are richer for having known him. His memory will live on in every laugh shared over a cold beer, every grandchild who inherits his whimsical spark, and every life he quietly made better along the way.
