It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edwin Gonzalez, age 67, who departed this world on March 1, 2026, in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, Edwin's life was a testament to dedication, warmth, and love, touching the hearts of all who knew him.
Edwin was not just a devoted machine operator at Raritan Container for over 30 years; he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and son. His commitment to his work was rivaled only by his unwavering dedication to his family. A pillar of strength and kindness, he provided his loved ones with unwavering support and encouragement throughout their lives.
Edwin leaves behind his beloved wife, Lydia Gonzalez. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with cherished memories. He is survived by his four sons and daughter-in-law, Edwin, Manuel, Reynaldo and his wife Cynthia, and Carlos Gonzalez, who carry forward his values and love. His legacy shines brightly in his grandchildren—Madelyn, Natalya, Tommy Rey, D’Angelo, Leonardo, and Julian—who will always remember their grandfather as a source of joy and wisdom.
Edwin is now united with parents, the late Margarita Gonzalez Bruno and Angel A. Gonzalez Rivera. He is also survived by his brothers Papo, Anibal, Julio, and Angel Gonzalez, and his sisters Doris, Zoraida, and Luz Delia. Those dear to him have left an indelible mark on his journey, and their memories will continue to resonate in his family's hearts.
While we mourn the loss of Edwin, we also celebrate his remarkable life—a life filled with laughter, love, and the invaluable lessons he so generously imparted. He will be missed dearly, but his spirit will live on through the countless lives he touched. As we remember Edwin, let us hold on to the joy he brought into our lives and honor his memory in our hearts forever.
