Ed graduated from St. John's University where he earned a Bachelor's Degree. He served honorably in the United States Army and the Army National Guard as a reservist from 1963 to 1967. Ed worked at Consolidated Edison in Manhattan for 30 years before retiring as the Director of Data Processing.
Ed was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church in Mahopac for the past 55 years. He enjoyed boating with his late wife Claire, and other friends, on the Long Island Sound. Ed was friendly, kind and was loved by all.
Ed is survived by his three children, John (wife Marie); Laura (husband Marc) and Linda (husband Michael), as well as his three grandsons, Nicholas, Christopher and Alexander.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8 from 6-8 pm at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 9 at 11:30 am at St. John the Evangelist Church in Mahopac with interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, Queens, NY.
