Sad to hear of Ed's passing albeit he had a wonderful and long life. So many fond memories of an ex-father-in-law who was of kindred talents. Always quick with a light-hearted response. So creative in designing and fixing things - a great person to know and love. My condolences to the family.

Johnny and Edwin, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of cousin Eddie. I really enjoyed being a scout in his troop. I can remember a couple of times when we had camping trips scheduled and the weather had changed to such that he was going to call them off and I had convinced him to let us go anyway. He was a great inspiration and always had a wonderful attitude. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Your parents were very close to my family when we were Young. I refer to them as aunt and uncle. Your dad came to my dad's funeral in January just before they moved to be near you. My mother visited with your parents and Aunt Lila and Mom went back to when they were probably in their twenties. It was amazing to listen to them talk. So sorry for your loss. I wish I would have kept in touch with your dad.

Edwin and Johnny,
I would like to extend my condolences. Your dad was a great inspiration to me in scouts and in my life. The things he taught me and the principals of scouting shaped my life in business and as a father to three children. I know you will miss your dad as I miss mine. You both can be proud of your father as a great man. It was my honor to have Mr..Holcombe as my Scoutmaster and friend.
