My deepest heart felt condolences to Mr. Loy's family and friends. I am a nurse at UT, and I had the great honor of being one of many nurses who had the honor of taking care of Mr. Loy. I just found out about his passing and am saddened that I could not pay my respects in person. Mr. Loy had an incredible impact on my department. Many of my coworkers, were touched by his sweet demeanor and his kind uplifting spirit; he always expressed gratitude for everything. He made you feel so appreciated so effortlessly. Truly a remarkable man. In a very short time he has made an incredible impression upon me. I consider myself blessed to have known him even but for a short time. May God's peace that passes all understanding comfort you all.

Edwin was one of the funniest people I've known. He made many a Sunday School class worth attending. It's been too many Sunday's since he last made me smile, and I'd like to think his humor is now making the angels smile. Rest in peace old friend.
