Rev. Edwin D. Pacocha

Rev. Edwin Pacocha, 89, was a cherished brother of the late Gertrude (late Ted) Ratajczyk, the late Joanne Pacocha, and the late Theresa (late Larry) Bruckhauser. He was a beloved uncle to Ted (Linda) Ratajczyk, the late Diane Turkowski, and Karla (Jacob) Persky. A loving great-uncle to Ashley (John), Sarah (Mark), Nicholas, Lucas, Rebecca (Mike), Annika and Abby. He was also a great-great-uncle to Reagan and Isabelle. He is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Bernice. Father Ed was grounded in his faith, loved the outdoors, was able to fix absolutely anything, and was passionately matter of fact and logical in the way he looked at life. He was a loving friend to all he met.
Father Ed was ordained on April 28, 1962, and faithfully served as Pastor of St. Cornelius Parish for 22 years. Prior to St. Cornelius, he presided at St. Priscilla, St. Mary of Czestochowa, St. John Vianney, St. Paul of the Cross, St. Mary – Buffalo Grove, and St. John Berchmans. After his retirement in 2008, he continued to serve at St. Eugene.
Lying-in-State Friday, January 30, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at St. Eugene Church 7958 W. Foster Avenue Chicago and Saturday, January 31, from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass 10:30 a.m.. Interment will follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery, Info 773-774-0366
