I am lucky enough to be neighbors with Ed and Mary. His spirit will always be alive and well on this street, walking in the fresh air with Buster, Mary, and Blondie. What a kind, caring, and truly gentle-man he was.

Eddie was a devoted grandfather. His name was Papa then Catfish then Catfish Eddie then eventually just Eddie. There was a lot of unconditional love between these three

I met Ed when I became the Communications Coordinator for the Dallas Police Association in the mid-'80s. When I needed DPD info, I knew I could count on Ed to help me. I was young and naive but had a journalism background and a grasp of city politics just enough to get me in trouble. :) The DPA was considered the enemy in a way as police reps. who provided legal representation when needed, but Ed never steered me wrong. I kept up with him on Facebook and loved reading about his lake adventures and his dog and love of animals and family He was a great man and will be oh so missed.
