Edwin C. "Eddie" Stetzer

Edwin C. "Eddie" Stetzer, age 85, of Glenview, born and raised in Chicago, beloved husband for 49 years of Marlene Stetzer; loving stepfather of Steven (Ellen) Matzkin; adored grandfather of Emma, Joey, and Sarah; devoted son of the late Albert and the late Esther Stetzer; cherished brother of the late Gene Stetzer, the late Gilbert Stetzer, and the late James Stetzer; dear brother-in-law of Norine Siegel; treasured 'father figure" of Junior Gonzalez, they worked together for 32 years; special uncle and friend of many. Eddie was the founder and owner of the Car Care Body Shop, 4122 W. Grand Ave., Chicago for over 50 years. He was an avid Chicago sports fan, especially the Blackhawks (season ticketholder for many years), Cubs, and Bears. He also enjoyed boating and fishing. Eddie will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Memorial service Friday, 11:00 a.m. CT at The Chapel, 8851 Skokie Blvd, Skokie (at Niles Center Rd.).
