Edwin M. Toogood

Edwin M. Toogood, 83, of Newington passed away Thursday, August 19, 2010 at the Newington Health Care. He was the beloved husband of Anne (Virelli) Toogood. He was born in Southampton, England, son of the late Edwin M. and Rosina (Robbins) Toogood he was a Newington resident for 17 years moving from the Watertown, Waterbury area. Edwin was employed by New England Drywall for many years prior to his retirement. He served in the Royal Air Force and the Merchant Marines. Edwin along with his wife enjoyed ballroom dancing. Besides his wife Anne he is survived by his son Douglas and his wife Linda of Mesa, AZ; his daughter Carol Sabetta and her husband John of Waterbury; his sister Rosie Elizabeth Newbury of Watertown. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury.
