Edwin Weidmann

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Edwin (Ed) Weidmann, of Elbert, Colorado, on January 22, 2024. Ed was born on April 9, 1954 in Heidesheim, Germany, and graduated from Arapahoe High School in Littleton, Colorado. Ed was known for his work ethic and dedication to Douglas County where he excelled as an equipment operator in the Public Works department for 25 years. He had recently retired in 2023.
Ed married Marilyn Dove-Weidmann on May 26, 1998. They spent over 35 years sharing countless adventures and creating precious memories together, many of which included cruising around in their beloved Volkswagen Baja Bug that they affectionately named "Peanut". Whether it was rock climbing, fishing, camping, gardening, taking photos, or gold prospecting; Ed found solace in nature and joy in life's simple pleasures.
He is survived by his loving wife; Marilyn, his younger siblings; Thilo (Tracy), Rita (Ron), and Tanya (John), nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, and friends. We will forever remember his kindness, his gentle spirit, and his quiet sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elisabeth and Daniel Tuller.
Following Ed's wishes, there will be no service held.
