Nelson, Edythe, - 82, of Galloway, "Edie" and lifelong resident of Atlantic County, passed away on Sunday, October 30th, 2022. Edythe was greeted in Heaven by her loving parents Maurice "Whiff" Nelson and Edythe Nelson Aldridge, brother and Best Friend, Maurice "Butch" Nelson, Jr., baby daughter Judy Lynn Ireland, as well as many other beloved family members and close friends. Edythe was a proud member of the General Lafayette Chapter of the DAR, former Director/Treasurer of the Miss Galloway Township Pageant, Lifetime Member and former President and Treasurer of the GTAA Ladies Auxiliary, and former Commissioner and Coach of the SJ Senior Girls Softball League. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Jill (Greg) Gougher of Galloway Township, sons Stephen and Scott Ireland, both of Cape May County, her "Baby" brother Claude (Donna) Nelson of Galloway Township, her "Sweet and Sassy" granddaughters as well as many great-grandchildren, great great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
