Egbert "Eg" Geertman

Egbert "Eg" Geertman, 75, of West Olive, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Medilodge of Zeeland.

Eg was born August 31, 1950, in Zeeland, Michigan, to Gerald and Bertha (Styf) Geertman. He attended Zeeland Schools and became a truck driver, but recently fully retired from Subassembly Plus. He has been a lifetime member of Ottawa Reformed Church.

Eg is survived by his wife, Connie, his three daughters: Beth and Mike Bruins, Tracy Ponstein, Katie and Paul Berry, eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, sister Bernice Berens, brother Gerald Jr. and Sandy Geertman, in-laws: Lynn Geertman, Dee and Dale Veldheer, Cindy and Britt Sipe, Rick Slagh, and many extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his brother Alvin Geertman, and brother-in-law Ivan Berens.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Ottawa Reformed Church, 11390 Stanton Street, West Olive, MI 49460. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 PM, Monday, February 16, at the Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State Street, Zeeland MI 49464. Interment will be in Olive Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of Holland.
