Eiden Lucas Huntley, 12 days old, of Monahans, Texas, passed away on March 5, 2026, in Monahans.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Harkey Funeral Home with Larry Jasso of Monahans Community Church officiating. Burial will follow at Monahans Memorial Cemetery.
Eiden Lucas was born in Odessa to Joseph Huntley and Malori Sherwood on February 21, 2026. Though his time on earth was brief, he filled the hearts of his family with immeasurable love and joy. Eiden was perfect in every way and was deeply cherished by his parents, grandparents, siblings, and extended family. He was truly an answered prayer, remembered for his beautiful bright blue eyes and the peace he brought to those around him.
During his short time here, Eiden loved being held close and showered with kisses from his mommy, daddy, and loving siblings. Family evening strolls quickly became one of his favorite moments, surrounded by the warmth and love of those who adored him. Though his life was brief, the love he gave and received will remain in the hearts of his family forever. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Eiden Lucas was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Del Forbush, Larry and Cheryl Nellis, Jose Angel Munoz, and Federico V. Mendoza; his great-great-grandparents, Frank and Margorie Anthony; his uncle, Triston Carrol; and his great-uncles, Angel R. Longoria and Lorenzo Juan Mendoza.
He is survived by his siblings, Nevyn Huntley, Nayan Huntley, Sam’Urai Huntley, and Emeris Huntley; his parents, Joseph Huntley and Malori Sherwood; his grandparents, Jeremy Dustin Sherwood, Debra Elaine Sherwood, Donnie Jowers, Caren Forbush-Jowers, and Yolanda Munoz; his great-grandparents, Linda Forbush, Dewayne Sherwood, and Monica Sherwood; his uncles, Brendon Worth, Kristopher Sherwood, Kelton Sherwood, Kristian Munoz, and Urmiah Munoz; his aunts, Promese Huntley, Katelynn Sherwood, and Lyndsay Worth; along with a host of cousins and extended family members who loved him dearly.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Huntley, Kristopher Sherwood, Jeremy Sherwood, Donnie Jowers, Brendon Worth, and Ryan Lara.
The family of Eiden Lucas Huntley wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the first responders, as well as to everyone who has offered food, essentials, phone calls, messages, and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. Your kindness and support have meant more than words can express.
