Eileen Evelyn Benton

Eileen was born on June 18, 1926 and passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017. Eileen was a resident of Indian Lake, New York at the time of passing. She graduated high school in 1943 and went directly to Albany Medical School of Nursing and then to Russell Sage College. She was awarded a Bachelor degree of Science in Nursing. She went on to the University of New York where she obtained her Masters of Arts degree. She joined the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corp Army branch obtaining the rank of captain. She was the companion of Cynthia Taylor. Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home 6357 NYS Rte. 30 Indian Lake. Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Spring burial will be in Cedar River Cemetery Indian Lake. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Indian Lake Ambulance Corp PO Box 39 Indian Lake NY 12842 the American Legion Post 1392 PO Box 699 Indian Lake NY 12842 or the Indian Lake Volunteer Fire Department PO Box 773 Indian Lake NY 12842.
