Eileen Joyce Bjorling

BJORLING, Joyce - Age 79, of Fenton, died Monday, July 25, 2011 at Rockwell Memory Impaired. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, July 29, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Pastor Terry Prisk officiating. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM. Mrs. Bjorling was born March 10, 1932 in Detroit, the daughter of Frederick and Gertrude (Toellen) Orritt. She was a 1950 graduate of Fenton High School and graduated from Cleary College. She married Edward Bjorling November 8, 1952 in Fenton. Mrs. Bjorling retired from the Law office of Stan Miner as a Legal Secretary after 10 years of service. She had resided in Fenton her entire life. She was a member of The River Community Church in Hartland and was a former member of Kensington Community Church in Troy and Tyrone Presbyterian Church in Fenton. Mrs. Bjorling was also a member of the Fenton O.E.S. #248. She was an avid golfer, exceptionally good fisherman and also enjoyed walking. Surviving are: husband, Edward; 3 children, Debbie Bjorling Uhley and husband Bruce Uhley of Hamburg, Bradley Allan Bjorling of Jerome and Clark Ross Bjorling of Fenton. 2 grandchildren, Matthew and Brianna Uhley; brother, Jack and wife Patricia Orritt of Scottsdale, AZ; niece, Vicki Orritt of Scottsdale, AZ; several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and nephew, James Orritt.
