Eileen Cartwright Obituary
Born on September 6, 1938 and raised in the Bronx, NY, to Edward and Irene Steakin, she and her family moved to Matawan 38 years ago.
Prior to retiring she was a bus aide for the Special Education Department of Aberdeen School District.
Eileen enjoyed playing the slots in Atlantic City, was a huge fan of the N.Y. Yankees, but nothing was more important to her than spending time with her family.
Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Peter; her daughters, Christine Cartwright and Eileen Cartwright and husband, Louis Zampelle, and her grandson, Timothy Manzi.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm, at Waitt Funeral Home, 501 Highway 79, Morganville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 15th, at 10:00 am, at St. Clement RC Church, 172 Freneau Avenue, Matawan, with interment to follow at Forest Green Park Cemetery, Morganville.
