Eileen "Lee" Naomi Hubert Weber
Lee was born in London, England to Robert and Ada Cousins on September 4, 1929.
While a teen, she and her parents survived World War II and the bombing of London. Lee died peacefully in her sleep at her home in Chico on May 6, 2024.
As a young woman Lee worked as a model both in England and in the United States. In 1955 Lee met and married U.S. Airman and Chico native Theodore "Ted" Hubert. After short times living in London, England and later Texas and Oklahoma, they relocated to Chico, where Lee remained for the remainder of her life. In 1974 Lee and Ted opened Ted's Electric and operated it together until Ted's death in 1996.
On June 5, 1999, Lee married long time family friend Mathew "Pete" Weber. They remained happily married living at Pete's home in Chico until Pete's death on October 17, 2012.
Lee loved her adopted town of Chico. In addition to working at Ted's Electric she volunteered may hours over the years working at Paw Prints Boutique Shop in Chico and the Chico Museum, where she was elected President in 1988. She loved ballroom dancing, travelling and was a lifelong dedicated Republican. In 1997 Lee was selected as one of the "Women of the Year" by Senator Tim Leslie.
One of the highlights of Lee's life was meeting England Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher, In Las Vegas. "Lady Magaret" had been Lee's "heroine".
Lee is survived her nephew, Terrance "Terry" Cousins of London, England.
Lee is interred at Oak Glenn Memorial Park, Chico, CA next to her husband, Ted Hubert.
