It is with profound respect and loving memory that we announce the passing of Eileen Theresa Malone, a cherished matriarch, friend, and community pillar, who left us peacefully on November 25, 2025, in Floral Park. Born on August 27, 1925, in Manhattan, New York, Eileen's journey through life was marked by unwavering love, thoughtful gestures, and a passionate spirit that touched all who knew her.
Eileen's early life in Manhattan was the foundation upon which she built her strength and character. As she transitioned into adulthood, her heart found its true calling in the bonds of family and the joy of service. Eileen's Christian faith was the compass by which she navigated life's trials and triumphs, always finding ways to express her love through acts of kindness and community involvement.
Her dedication to service was evident in her active participation with the American Legion Woman's Auxiliary and the 20th Armor Division Alumni. Eileen's commitment to these organizations reflected her deep appreciation for those who served and her desire to contribute to a greater cause. Moreover, her love for literature and learning led her to become a devoted member of the Friends of the Library, where she helped foster a love for reading in her community.
Eileen's legacy is lovingly carried on by her family, who were the center of her universe. She predeceased her Beloved husband of over 60 years as well as her loving son Tom who passed in 2020 and survived by his widow Megan. Her daughter, Ellen, and her husband, Frank; Her son, Jim, and his wife, Diane; and her grandchildren, Brendon, Ian, Terence, Alanna, Caitlin, Meghan, Daphne, Robert, and Sarah, will forever hold her memory in their hearts. Though she was predeceased by her beloved grandchildren Jamie and Paige, the love she had for them remains an eternal flame.
Those who knew Eileen would speak of her loving nature, which was as constant as the stars. Her thoughtful attention to the needs and celebrations of others made her a cherished friend and confidant. Eileen's passion for life's simple pleasures-be it a shared story, a warm embrace, or a helping hand-was infectious, inspiring others to live with the same fervor and generosity.
While we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the century of life that Eileen embraced with open arms. Her journey was one of purpose, joy, and an abundance of love-a testament to the beautiful tapestry of memories she leaves behind. Eileen Theresa Malone's story is one of a life well-lived and well-loved, and she will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate enough to be a part of her world.
As we say our final farewells to Eileen, we do so with gratitude for the time we shared and the wisdom she imparted. Her spirit will continue to guide us, and her memory will be a beacon of love and strength in the days to come. Rest in peace, dear Eileen, until we meet again.
