Eileen Jane Muir, 83, Born December 5th, 1940 went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 13th, 2024 in her home with her family at her side.
Eileen known to most as "Jane" was born to Al and Anne Hoffman the 2nd of 7 children.
Jane attended school in Dallas and Salem, Oregon and graduated from Salem Academy in
1959. After completing high-school Jane went on to work for State of Oregon DHS in Child
support enforcement.
Jane had 4 daughters, Debra, Patty, DeeDee, and Darcy, 2 Grandchildren, Eric and
Katryn,and 1 Great-Grandson, Clayton. Jane was known for being gentle hearted, kind and
caring. Jane enjoyed spending her time canning with her family, crocheting, going to luncheons
with family and friends, playing with her great- grandson Clayton, watching the Hallmark
channel and reading Christian based books and her bible. Jane spent much of her time
adventuring with her companion Rich, watching the hummingbirds and dragonflies, golfing, and
enjoying a cup of coffee.
Jane was Preceded in death by her parents Al and Anne Hoffman, brother Les Hoffman,
Daughter DeeDee Coolley, and companion Rich Gorecki. Jane is survived by her 5 remaining
siblings Jerry Theissen (Bob), Joy Franz(Jerry), Alice Stradinger (Ron), Louie Hoffman (Lynn)
and Mike Hoffman (D'Ann), Her Daughters Debra Montemayor, Patty Dobko (Billy), Darcy Hess
(Chris), Grandson Eric Dobko, Granddaughter Katryn Archuletta (Joshua) and Great- Grandson
Clayton Archuletta.
In Lieu of flowers Jane requested donations be made to Samaritan Evergreen Hospice
in Albany, Oregon.
Jane's Memorial service will be held at Houston-Jost Funeral Home in Lebanon, Or on
Saturday, August 24th, 2024 at 11:00am. Jane's Ashes will be spread in Spring/Summer of
2025.
