Eileen V. Myers

Eileen Vera Myers, 76, of Forreston, IL, passed away Friday August 16, 2024 in her home. She was born June 11, 1948 in Clinton, IA, the daughter of Henry and Gertrude (Petersen) Landon. Eileen married Eugene Myers on October 19, 1968 in Clinton, IA. Eugene passed away May 9, 2019. Eileen loved to connect with people and she was loved by everyone that crossed paths with her. She and Eugene had a love for flowers and fruit trees. Her children remember having all kinds of fruits around the house growing up. She also enjoyed working farmers markets. Most importantly to Eileen was her faith and family. She loved raising her children and got great joy from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Eileen is survived by daughters, Ronda (Jeff) Lindsay of Lanark, IL and Sheila (Mike) Piper of Ohio, IL; son, Christopher (Sarah) Myers of Hartford, WI; sister, Lois McMahon of Bella Vista, AR; brothers, Richard (Mary Jo) Landon of Clinton, IA and Henry (Grace) Landon of Albemarle, NC; sister-in-law Cindy (Larry) Schultz of Clinton, IA; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Preceding Eileen in death are her parents, husband, daughter Angela; brothers Everett Landon and Robert Landon; sisters Wilma Cochran and Mary Jane Cochran; and three brother-in-law's, Howard Cochran, Mike Cochran and Don McMahon.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday August 24, 2024 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Forreston, IL. A visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will be at North Grove Christian Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the American Heart Association.
