Eileen M. Pedalino

Eileen passed into God's presence on Sunday, November 23, 2025.
A lifelong resident of Bloomfield, New Jersey, Eileen was the beloved daughter of Stanley and Margaret Potemski.
She is survived by her daughters, Mickie DeMatteo and her husband Gerard, and Peggy Van Dort and her husband Thomas. She was the cherished grandmother of Lauren Werner, Stephanie Busteed, Suzanne Philip, Hannah DeMatteo, Thomas Van Dort, Cassandra Van Dort, and the proud great-grandmother of Willow and Layla Werner, Miles, and Amelia Philip, and Mae Busteed. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Eileen was predeceased by her husband, Michael Pedalino, her brother Robert Potemski and sister Margaret Kazalski.
She retired from the Bloomfield Board of Education, where she was a valued Administrative Assistant. She was a faithful member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church for over 70 years and in retirement she offered her time as a volunteer at the Bloomfield Animal Shelter.
Eileen was wholeheartedly devoted to her family. She played the guitar, was a talented crocheter, an avid reader with a remarkable knowledge of history and trivia. She was known for her quick wit, warm humor, and her love of puzzles and games-especially when shared with her grandchildren.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitors will be received Sunday November 30th 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm at S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley. The funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Bloomfield. The interment will follow at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield.
