Eileen Mary Pogrant passed away peacefully at home on April 24th, 2024. She was born in Kaukauna, WI on March 27th, 1941 to parents John and Geneva (Nichols) Coenen. Eileen graduated from Kaukauna High School. She retired by her many friends to Ruskin, Florida in 2016. Eileen enjoyed playing cards, sewing, crafting, and spending time with her friends and family. Eileen was a Celebrate Recovery leader for years and enjoyed helping people in recovery. Eileen loved Jesus Christ and serving others through her church.
She is preceded in death by her parents:John and Geneva (Nichols) Coenen; son: Michael Pogrant; brother: Wallace Coenen; sister: Virginia Strawb; sisters-in-law: Cathy Coenen and Beverly Coenen; niece: Sue; and nephews: Mark, Tommy, Duwayne, and Lonny.
She is survived by her children: Jeff (son) and Jennifer (Kass) Pogrant, Don (son) and Chris Pogrant, Karen Williams, Robin (Pogrant) and Dan Gavigan; brother: Gene Coenen; sister: Alice Fahrety; as well as her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on May 18th, 2024 at Valley Baptist Church located at 3600 Chippewa St, Appleton. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by an 11:00 a.m service, and 12:00 p.m. luncheon. Family and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in her name.
The family would especially like to thank: Compassus Hospice, Heart of the Valley Cremation Services, Valley Baptist Church, Seaglass Church- Florida, John and Nicole Burmeister, her brother, Gene Coenen, as well as her best friends in Florida- Joan, Mary, and Stella, and service dog “Minnie”.
We will miss your sweet smile and servant’s heart.
