Eileen Anne Wholley died peacefully on March 20th 2023 in Charlotte, North Carolina, at the age of 81 years of age. She is survived by many memories of her husband Stephen Wholley, her son Michael Wholley, her Brother Timothy Walsh, beloved memories of her late sister Sheila Cassin, late son Paul Wholley and his wife Kathy Wholley.
Born in Portchester, NY, the daughter of the late Francis and Catherine Walsh she attended Resurrection School as well as Rye, NY, High School. At Rye, NY High, she distinguished herself as a National Honor Society member, head cheerleader of the athletic teams, and graduated summa cum laude in 1959.
Eileen went on to Elmira College where her studies included Education, Office Management and where she met her future husband, Stephen. Eileen graduated in 1963 and embarked to teach third grade in Spring Valley, New York. She and Stephen wed during this time, bought their first home in New Fairfield, CT, then spent wonderful years in Pleasantville, New York, as well as time in Bolivia, North Carolina and ultimately Charlotte, North Carolina to be nearer to family. Eileen went on from teaching to enjoy being an antiques dealer and hosting large family gatherings. Her wit and vivacity will be missed by many.
Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
