Elaine Beidelman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home & Crematory - Historical Downtown Chapel on Jul. 16, 2024.
Elaine Jeanette Beidelman (nee: Mooberry) passed away peacefully on July 14, 2024 at Monarch Landing. On October 6, 1935, Elaine was born in Denver, Colorado, and eventually moved east to graduate from North Central College in Naperville, IL, where she met her husband, John Beidelman (deceased).
She was an amazing mother, teacher, travel agent, volunteer, and grandmother. Traveling was an integral part of her life, with memorable trips both stateside and internationally. Elaine was an avid reader and crossword puzzler, and she loved a good joke. She was involved in the Daughters of the American Revolution and applied her artistic abilities to silk flower-making and other crafts. Wesley United Methodist Church played an important role in her life, especially the fellowship of The Lunch Bunch and Koinonia. As a resident of Monarch Landing, she appreciated friendships and the knowledge shared at the astronomy class. Elaine was generous with her love, time, and resources, supporting educational endeavors and helping those in need.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Beidelman; her sister, Marilyn Forest; her brother-in-law, Al (the late Jeanne) Beidelman; and her nephew, Michael Graf. Elaine is survived by her son, Ralph (Peggy) of Avon, North Carolina; grandchildren, Paige of Fredericksburg, VA and Anna of Boston, MA; sister-in-law Sally (the late Art) Graf of Palatine; as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A visitation for Elaine will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at the Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home, 516 S. Washington St., Naperville, IL. Interment will follow at the Naperville Cemetery.
