Elaine Chan

1930 - 2025

Elaine Lee Chan, age 94, passed peacefully on 9/25/25. Elaine was born on November 10, 1930, in the town of Grand Island, CA. She grew up in Locke, CA and then resided in Sacramento. Elaine worked for the DMV and retired there after more than thirty years. She was welcomed into heaven by her parents, Tin Hook and Wong Shee Lee, sister Helen, brothers Roy, Sammy and Tommy, and daughter Rosalind. She was the loving mother to Myron (Kim) and Jolene and loving grandmother to Nicholas, Evan, Lee and Jake. She is also survived by sister Margaret Soon and sister-in-law Patricia Lee (Tommy). Elaine enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends, playing BINGO, and watching NBA basketball. Services will be at Sacramento East Lawn on Oct 11, at 12:30 p.m., Eldorado Building. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to ACC Care Center or the charity of choice.
