COOKS, Ms. Elaine "Soot" - age 71, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2025 in Pontiac, Michigan. Family hour 1:30PM Monday, September 29, 2025 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 North Perry Street, with funeral service commencing immediately at 2:00PM. Pastor Cornelius S. Berry, I, Officiating. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery, 878 North Perry Street. Friends and family will assemble 1:30PM at the funeral home Monday. Ms. Cooks will lie instate in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed between the hours of 10:00AM - 4:00PM Sunday. Ms. Cooks leaves to cherish her memory: her siblings, Earnie Chatman, Terry Lane Cooks, Rendy Margaret Shaw and Bobbie Jean Herron; niece, Dominique Shaw; and a host of other relatives. Ms. Cooks was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Carrie Cooks; siblings, Willie Cooks, Jr., Fred Cooks, Leslie Cooks, Dallas Walter Cooks, Isaac Cooks and Roberta Washington.
