Elaine C. (Farley) Whitehead, 82, previously of Truxton, NY, passed away peacefully at home on December 10, 2025
She retired as a school bus driver for over 30 years at Lanpher's Transport Inc. She took great pride in transporting children safely with special needs.
She had immense love for her family and pets, sweet treats, cooking, social media, gaming, music, dancing and reading.
Elaine was also a breast cancer survivor of 13 years.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert B. Whitehead; her son, Joseph C. Reitz; her daughter, Gloria A. Hill; and great grandson, Jackson R. Olenych and her parents, Raymond and Evelyn (Lum) Farley.
Elaine is survived by her son, Duane (Patty) Reitz; daughters, Teresa (Michael) Sivers Jr. and Joanne (Reitz) Campbell; 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; siblings, Linda Orr, Gary Farley, David Farley and step brother, Peter Wetterlin; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 4:30-6:30PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, North Syracuse, with a service to follow at 6:30PM. The burial at White Chapel Memory Gardens will be held in the spring.
