Elaine Finkel

Elaine Finkel, of Shelby Township, was welcomed into the loving arms of her Savior on October 13, 2021 in Detroit, at the age of 77. Elaine was born on June 13, 1944 to Lawrence and Elsie Dittmer in Detroit. On August 17, 1971, Elaine married the love of her life, Charles, at Good Shepherd Church in Detroit, Michigan. She was a long time worker for Utica Community Schools, working in food service until she retired in 2007. Elaine was the cherished wife of 49 years to Charles, who preceded her in death in 2020; the loving mother of Robin Teubert, Brian (Diane) Finkel, Thomas (Andrea) Finkel, and Christine (Chuck) Sandison; the adored grandmother of 18; the beloved great-grandmother of 7; and the dear sister of Marilyn (Dan) Habel.
Elaine's family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, October 17, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road (3 blocks East of Van Dyke), Utica. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 18, visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the time of her funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
