Elaine H. Harrett

Elaine H. Harrett (formerly Schulz), age 88, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, March 29, 2026 in Wisconsin Rapids.

Elaine was born on April 24, 1937 in Chicago, Ill to the late Joseph and Helen (Chabet) Trcka. She married James Schulz in Berwyn, Ill and raised four children together before his passing. Following James' passing, Elaine married John Harrett in Darien, Ill and grew her family even more. Elaine was a home maker and her greatest joy in life was being a mother. She was an active member of the Wisconsin Rapids Grief Share Group and Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Elaine was blessed with the gift of gab and enjoyed talking to everyone. She had an amazing ability to connect with anyone on a personal level and genuinely cared about all her family members and friends around her. Her selflessness and ability to light up any room will be missed by all who knew her.

Elaine is survived by her four children, Peggy (Micky) Candra of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Jim Schulz of Brookfield, Il, Michael (Trish) Schulz of Baudette, MN, and William (Sheryl) Schulz of Red Granite, WI; 5 stepchildren, Joan (Carl) Aubele of Oriental, NC, Terrie (Enio) Fraga of Dallas, GA, Ellie Harrett of Cartersville, GA, Donna Mayer of Joliet, Il, and Bev (Bob) Hammond of Cape Coral, FL; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Elaine was preceded in death by her husband John Harrett, first husband, James Schulz; parents, and stepson-in-law, Ken Mayer.

Elaine's family would like to thank the entire staff at Compassus Hospice and Marshfield Medical Center for the Kindness and Care they showed to Elaine in her final days.
