Elaine Hebert Kirkland

Elaine Hebert Kirkland passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at the age of 88. She retired from the Iberville Parish 4-H County Agents Office as a secretary; was a resident and native of Plaquemine, LA. Visitation will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Plaquemine on Monday, February 2, 2026, from 8am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10am, celebrated by Father Martin Lawrence. Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine. Elaine is survived by her six sons, Mitch and wife Gee-Gee, Mark and wife Christine, Mike and wife Toni, Merril, Myles and wife Dana, and Morty and wife Allison; grandchildren, Shane and wife Jaimie, Daniel and wife Alivia, Kathleen, Brandi and wife Jordin, Shelby, Mason, Adam, Jacob and Emily; great-grandchildren, Natalie, Lily Jane, Henry, Harvey, and Aurora; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Henry Roosevelt Kirkland; parents, James and Pansy Hebert; and siblings, Sherman, Gary and James Hebert, Ruth Gascon, Joyce Matthews, Margaret Acosta, and Carolyn Sarradet. Elaine was an avid fan of Elvis Presley and visited his home many times. She loved being surrounded by all her family. Elaine was very involved in her grandchildren's lives and always wanted to know what was going on with them. She enjoyed playing cards, putting puzzles together, and making crafts.\
