Elaine Quinn

Elaine Quinn, age 72 of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. A native of Franklin County, she was born on May 25, 1953, to the late Jack and Marguerite (Walls) Powers. Elaine was a 1971 graduate of Franklin County High School. She had been employed for over thirty years as an educational assistant by the Franklin County Board of Education, working at Rock Creek, Decherd Elementary, and Franklin County High School. She enjoyed going to the beach and reading (especially romance novels). But most of all, Elaine cherished the time spent with her beloved family. Her caring and loving nature enriched those around her. She was a member of Riva Lake Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Larry Quinn. Elaine is survived by her loving children, Brooke Quinn and Derrick (Amanda) Quinn. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 3, 2025, in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Garner Cemetery.
