One of four of your favorite kids

The greatest dad, gentle and kind all his life. He loved this family and always made us proud. He gave us love, understanding, experiences and opportunities most can only dream of. I am proud to be your daughter, I love to to the moon and back. I will miss you. Rest well, my hero. We will see you soon.

His favorite granddaughter in Oklahoma

What an amazing life and one of the most loving people on this earth. Always with a smile and some twisted humor to lighten any scenario. Gramps always looked forward to taking his company to the restaurant of choice (usually Golden Corral or Cracker Barrel). He was always ecstatic to receive a bag of change from Oklahoma and so happy when he´d find pieces he could not get in TN to finish his next roll of coins. I´ll treasure our last visit just a week or so before his stroke this year. It was a great visit with him telling stories, smiling at memories, laughing about it being the 5th week. Pausing when I left to pivot and salute him on my way out; he proudly stood tall saluting back with a smile on his face and Grams by his side as I drove away. Now he stands tall as one of Gods Soldiers waiting until Juanita can be by his side again. He will be missed but forever with us! Love you Gramps!
