Elden Franklin Bailey

Elden Franklin “Red” Bailey, 75, of Loveland, passed on to Eternity suddenly May 20, 2009. Born May 22, 1933 to Lude Lon Bailey and Gladys Alta Runkle, he was the fifth of nine children. Elden married Martha Delcamp of Scottsbluff Nebraska, who was tragically killed in a car accident. He then married Janelda Ann Hazzard on February 14, 1959, in Scottsbluff Nebraska, a union which produced 6 children. In 1972 they moved to Fort Collins, and in 1993 Elden moved to Loveland, where he became known to many as the “nice old man with the long white beard” who frequently walked to McDonalds. He made a lifelong career of being a high voltage power Lineman, including the time he served as a Navy SEABEE. Elden is survived by Sylvia “JoBob” Carnazzo and husband John of Loveland, Vivian Bailey& Jesse Rosales of Taylor, TX, Correna Bailey & Ryan Hagemann of Wellington, Evelyn B. Hill of Waller, TX, Tonya Scriven & Don Hamilton of Wellington, Lude “J.R.” Bailey of Las Vegas, NV, special family members Robert Scriven & Shirley Bailey, three sisters, two brothers, 17 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. He is preceded in death by both parents, 3 brothers and both wives. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Allnutt, 2100 N. Lincoln Avenue, Loveland, CO. A luncheon will be served following the service.
