Eldon J Kimball, 84, of Clearfield Utah passed away January 20th, 2026 due to a courageous fight with cancer. He was born February 21st, 1941 in Logan Utah, was the son of Clyde W Kimball and Nona A Kimball.
Eldon was a member of the the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed Ward potlucks, especially around Halloween. His toad in-the-holes were a treat to be had. He was an avid collector of fine artwork which he displayed in his home. His passion for collecting coins was always a big part of his hobbies. He also loved Elvis and he shared that love to all who knew him. He had an awareness of the outdoors in which he created recent memories of camping with his favorite people his family.
Eldon worked in construction where he was a skilled heavy equipment operator and took some of his kids and grandkids for a spin in a backhoe bucket. He loved placing rocks with precision while running his backhoe to create art in the landscape. He also would bring large rocks home for his yard to enhance beauty.
Eldon married Carol Ann Strange, they later divorced. He then married Joyce Kimball on November 18th, 1978 and they were sealed in for eternity on June 7th, 1980. After Joyce’s death, he found a life partner Connie L Robinson with whom he traveled with and enjoyed his later years.
Eldon was preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Nona, his sisters Mary Jean and Beth, his two grandsons Andrew J Kimball and Justin M Kimball, his wife Joyce Kimball, and his life partner Connie Robinson.
Eldon is survived by his children: Eldon W Kimball- Bill, Mike Kimball, Scott (Jane) Kimball, Lisa (Jerry) Merten, Kristi (Christina) Kimball; brother, Larry J. (Annette) Kimball; grandchildren: Morgan Smith, Katherine Graves, Lydia Smith, Tiffany Kimball, Jennifer Courtney, Elizabeth Merten, Ian Merten, Olivia Miya, Isaac Merten, Douglas Scheurn, Noel Scheurn, Willow Kimball, and Skylar Kimball; great-grandkids: Breeanna Schryver, Mikayla Samora, Kairi Khan, Jack Graves, Ollie Graves, and Henry Graves.
Graveside service will be held at Clearfield City Cemetery,1050 S. State St, Clearfield, Utah on January 28th, 2026 at 11:00 am. Prior to service a viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Aaron’s Clearfield Mortuary, same location.
Celebration of Life will be held afterwards. at 12:30 at the LDS Chapel 590 W Antelope Drive Layton 84015.
