Eleanor Cosens Obituary

Eleanor T. (Tait) Cosens 1928- 2025 Eleanor "Ellie" Tait Cosens was born on Sept 2, 1928, to James and Susan Middleton Tait in Denver, CO. She was educated at Cathedral grade and high school in Denver and attended CU in Boulder where she received her BS degree in pharmacy. At Boulder, she met Robert Cosens whom she married a week after graduation. Soon after, they established their home in Cheyenne WY. During those years Bob worked full-time for Wyeth labs and Ellie worked part-time as a pharmacist until they were blessed by Cindy and 4 years later Jim. After 12 years they were transferred back to Denver. Then 3rd child Bob was born shortly after. Ellie continued to be a full-time homemaker and part-time pharmacist until the children were out of the nest and Bob was gone. She then went to work for Safeway as a pharmacy manager until retirement. At that time, she and Cindy decided to return to Cheyenne, a town she always loved. They joined Holy Trinity Church and the women's club, volunteering at the hospital, joining the philatelic society, travelling to many countries by land and sea and enjoying many hours playing bridge with wonderful friends. Life was good, thank you Lord. She is survived by her 3 marvelous children. Cindy her wonderful companion, Bob and Holly Cosens (Arvada), Jim and Mary Cosens (Windsor). A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 10:30 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She will be laid to rest at Mt Olivet cemetery in Wheat Ridge, CO.
