Eleanor Quick Dougherty

Mrs. Eleanor Quick Dougherty, widow of John W. Dougherty, Jr., passed away at her residence following an illness. She was 83 years old.

Mrs. Dougherty was born in Bennettsville, South Carolina, on August 10, 1942, to the late Henry and Gertrude Jordan Quick. She was a devoted member of Oakwood Bible Church in Baltimore, Maryland, and was formerly employed as a lunch coordinator with Baltimore City Schools. Eleanor loved the Lord, her family, crafting, and enjoying her favorite sweets.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory her daughter, Kris Lee Travis and husband Doug; grandchildren, David Eugene Dougherty, Hailee Dimae Travis Joseph and husband Paul, Kasey Jean Travis Severson and husband Kyle, and Gabriel Douglas Travis; and great-grandchildren, Jace Gene Allen Travis, Natalie Faith Dougherty, and Dara Jordyn Dougherty.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, John W. Dougherty, III; and brothers, Johnny Lee Quick and Walter Harold Quick.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Sunset Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. Thomas Buck.
