She lived a full and joyful life centered around faith, family and simple pleasures. She was a woman whose heart was as full as her cookie jar and whose laughter could light up a room. She was an inspiration to all of us and was the hardest worker that we ever knew. She took great pride in her family. The love of our Mother was the strength that enabled us in our own strengths and accomplishments. Mom was a beautiful woman inside and out. Eleanor loved to play pinochle & bingo, fish, cook, take care of her flowers and travel to visit all of her children and grandchildren scattered around the country. She wrote a cooking column in the Emmons County Record for many years titled, "Eleanor's Culinary Clips", was a runner-up in the Farm & Ranch Guide Country Women of the Year contest and had a pasta salad recipe published in a National Magazine. She competed in many cook-offs, bringing home many blue ribbons with her award-winning recipes. Eleanor was raised on a farm SW of Napoleon with her 13 siblings. She met Vincent Magrum at a dance, and they were married in 1955. They raised 10 children on a farm SE of Braddock: Terrance (Jackie), La Palma, CA, Sharon (Jeff), Patrick (Marie), Casper, WY, Gregory, Williston, Bruce, Casper, WY, Mark (Mary), Kintyre, Jeffery (Donna), Hazelton, Daniel (Dee Ann), Fargo, Rich, La Palma, CA, and Jodi (Paul), Bloomington, MN. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren; sister, Betty McLeish and Margie Marshall; and brothers, Peter, Tony and Eugene Glatt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent; daughter, Sharon; grandsons, Alexander and Jake; sisters, Maggie Wentz, Lorraine Schneider, Marcella Leier, Helen Wangler and Bernie Wagner; and brothers, Joe, Jim and Johnny Glatt. If flowers grow in heaven, Lord pick a bunch for me. Place them in my mother's arms and tell her they are from me. Tell her that I love and miss her and when she turns to smile, place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for a while. We love you, Mom! We are all very blessed to have you as ours. God bless you.
