Eleanor Sue McDavid (Stinchcomb) “Suzy”
June 25, 1937 — January 27, 2026
On the morning of January 27, 2026, Eleanor Sue McDavid passed away due to natural causes. She was 88 years old.
Sue was born to Eunice and Glen Stinchcomb in Oklahoma City, where she spent most of her life. She worked as a social worker with DHS before retiring, yet continued to dedicate her time to helping others.
Sue was an active member of many clubs and enjoyed daily crosswords, genealogy research, OU football, and recounting absurd and hilarious stories. She was an avid reader and adventurer, and loved spending time with her family, often sharing long meals together.
Sue was preceded in death by her brother, Glen, and her son, John McDavid.
She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Dixon; her son, Terry McDavid; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 2nd, at 11 a.m. at Smith & Kernke Funeral Home, 14624 N. May Avenue.
There will be no burial.
A reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes living plants in her memory.
